March 28, 2009 – Local Opera Houses, Upcoming Shows, and Free and Legal Downloads


  Tonight’s entry in the Venango Campus – Clarion University independent film series is The Wind That Shakes the Barley Flick begins at 7:30 pm in Rhoades Auditorium on Venango Campus (map) and is free and open to the public.


This month’s DeBence Museum Mini-Event starts at 1:30 pm at DeBence Antique Music World (1261 Liberty St Franklin, PA 16323).  Music by Dick Eshelman (piccolo and flute) and Ed Frye (clarinet and saxophone).  Free and open to the public

 Kate Radivojevich is the new executive director of Meadville Council on the Arts.

  Stream the Decembrists’ Hazards of Love free.

  There’s now, once again, an opera house in nearby Sharpsville (which reminds me a lot of the semi-forgotten stage on the upper floor of the Oil City Library).

 Cleveland Rock and Roll sites.
