September 11, 2009 – Venango Film Fest, A Musical Saturday and Free and Legal Downloads

Don’t forget the Venango Digital Film Fest is this weekend.  You can see the films tonight in Emlenton, PA at the Crawford Center
(511 Hill Street), Saturday at the DeBence Antique Music World (1261 Liberty Street, Franklin PA) or Sunday at the Clarion-Venango Rhoades Auditorium (1801 W 1st Street).  All shows start at 6:30 pm.  Admission is $5/$3 for students.

In honor of their 14th Anniversary Suburban Home Records would like to give you one free album of your choice. Check out one of our bands you haven't listened to, fill in that gap in your Drag The River collection, whatever you want. You choose the album and you get it.

In August, the US Brig Niagara, her sailing crew, and the Erie Maritime Museum's volunteer Ship's Company participated in the filming of a new documentary about the War of 1812.

Denzel Washington's next movie, the action-thriller Unstoppable, is being filmed in Cameron County.

The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is working with The Brew House Association (BHA), to create a resource list for the resident artists who are being displaced due to the City’s temporary shut-down of the Brew House’s facilities, pending the BHA’s upgrades to comply with building and fire codes.
