July 20, 2009 newmen venue change, Astroblast and Free and Legal Downloads

Tonight's newmen show has been moved to the Titusville High School cafeteria.


The Oil Heritage Festival Art Show opens tonight -  reception begins at  7pm.


 

Astroblast, scheduled for Aug. 18-23, will take place at Lockwoood Group Campground in Two Mile Run Park, Venango County. Astronomers and those interested in astronomy gather for nighttime sky observation, lectures and other educational sessions, and there also will be a geocache event, nature hike, yard sale and minicamp for children. Newcomers are invited.

Register by Aug. 7 for the Astroblast 2009 stargazing party and save 25 percent off the registration fee.  All-events registration is $18 for an individual, $36 for a family of five or fewer. The Trib Reivew reviews the "Digital to Daguerreotype: Photographs of People"exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Art and  visits nearby Conneaut Lake Park.


WARRIOR is looking for extras aged 18-25 to participate in an overnight shoot taking place on Tuesday, July 21st into Wednesday, July 22nd. This filming, which will be one of the last calls for extras on this movie, will take place at the Twin Hi-Way Drive-In and will give participants a sneak peek at some of the footage already shot. All talent must have their own car, which will also be used in the movie, and must be able to stay through Tuesday night into dawn Wednesday. Pay is $100 for a twelve-hour day, with overtime as needed.
