I’m volunteering at the Franklin Public Library’s Used Book Sale today (map). Drop by and say hello! Speaking of books, I’m interested to know what’s on your summer reading list. Leave a comment and tell me what you’ll be paging through on the beach, park, or in your cube!

Scenes with a Greene - an evening of four theatrical scenes featuring Thomas Greene is returning to the Franklin’s Barrow Civic Little Theatre stage for a one night only performance of comedic and dramatic scenes, Friday, May 22, 2009 at 8 pm. The Franklin Silver Cornet Band, one of America's oldest traditional town bands, kicks off its summer season at 7:30PM on Thursday, May 28th in Franklin’s Bandstand Park (map).

That should give you just enough time to read Peter Greene's stellar history of the group, Musical Service: The Life And Times of the Franklin Silver Cornet Band
