March 18, 2009 – Call for artists, justice and equality to the north, and free and legal downloads

The Venango County Humane Society is looking for visual art donations for Pawcasso, their fine art and wine tasting "gala" on April 25th 2009 from 6pm to 9pm at the Wanango Country Club. For more information, please contact Tasha Elder: 724-290-3277





Jazz trumpeter, arranger and composer Michael Philip Mossman will be the guest artist at Slippery Rock University’s Eighth Annual Jazz Festival March 24 in Swope Music Hall and Miller Auditorium.

The event opens at 4 p.m. in Swope with a number of high school jazz bands. The concert is free for students; $5 for adults.






Performance poet Vanessa German,wraps up Clarion University’s 2008-09 Martin Luther King Jr. Speaker Series, March 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Hart Chapel.
