Applefest is over, Thank God, and while I'm cleaning all of the trash out of yard today, I will pause for a moment and be happy about the small step of recycling containers in the park for the 'fest.




Pittsburgh's Black Sheep Puppet Festival, the longest running yearly puppet festival in the country, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. 25 events are scheduled starting October 9th, many of them free, and none for more than $15.


The Oil Region Paranormal Investigation Team has completed and published their results from the Latonia Theatre Investigation. Spooky stuff dear readers, spooky stuff - although not scarier than Michael Keaton's performance in White Noise - now that was terrifying enough to make me doubt the existence of God.



The Meadville Tribune profiles muralist (and Oil City native) Berry Breene and her work “Streams Converging: Meadville at the Crossroads,” mural — located on the Park Avenue side of the Hovis Interiors Annex on Chestnut Street.
