Why am I grinning even though my face is swollen and bruised from this damn abscess? Because I just got word that I'm going to have an entry in the Gale Group's new edition of Contemporary Authors. I got the proof on Friday - it's a very odd feeling to read your artistic life as distilled by someone else's hand.

But enough about me.

The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) in Cleveland, Ohio has issued a call for artist for a public art project for the Woodhill Rapid Transit Station.

The Call is for the incorporation of public art into the soon to be remodeled transit station. Details regarding the project scope, submission requirements and deadlines can be found on the GCRTA website

Submissions must be received by Friday, May 30, 2008 - 4:00 pm Official Time.

Speaking of such, only two days left to get your proposals in for Pittsburgh's MLK Community Mural Project:

The MLK Community Mural Project is . .. the biggest art venture in the city’s history, with murals scheduled to cover 26 walls. . .

Congratulations! Too bad we can't read about you, too -- since you're all in "enough about me" mode.
