I have a broken tooth that won't be fixed until Monday. It's like a goad in the back of a bull. Best to keep your distance.

The Pittsburgh City Paper previews the Carnegie International as does the Trib Review

The Erie Times News previews Erie Opera Theatre's production of La Traviata. The show is presented in English today, Friday, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in Central Tech auditorium, 3325 Cherry St. It's free and open to the public.

Some local artist/crafter sale opportunities courtesy of Joann Wheeler, the Oil City Arts Czar:

Oil City's North Side Business Association is planning a series of street fairs on Seneca Street. The street will be closed from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and there will be music, vendors, etc. The dates are all Saturdays, June 14, June 28, July 12, August 9, and August 30. There will be no booth fees -- we are still looking into the city vendors' license question for these events. You can plan to have your studios open, or to set up a booth on the street. Again, you will need to be set up as a business with a sales tax id in order to sell your work. (According to the Derrick there will be a $20 vendor's license). The committee is now discussing a small booth fee as well, to cover the costs of insurance for the event. If you are interested in setting up a booth as a vendor, please let Daryl Hicks know .
